Rosemary Essential Oil

In medieval Catalonia, healers prepared oils with local plants to care for the body and spirit. Rosemary, a Mediterranean plant abundant in gardens and along roadside edges, and also found in orchards and monastery gardens, was valued for the intense aroma of its leaves. It was used to relieve muscular pains and minor ailments, as a topical application to promote general wellbeing, and as a tonic and protective agent against harmful influences and malevolent forces. It was also employed in ceremonies such as weddings and funerals, symbolising fidelity, memory, and protection.
