RESEARCH
The research began in Buenos Aires before the trip. We collected and studied many stories, and the writing process soon followed. However, once in Barcelona, already immersed in the sources and more detailed information, we asked ourselves two questions: why offer another book of legends, when there are already many excellent ones? And why break the orality of these myths, knowing that writing could crystallize them? That is how we thought of a tarot deck, a tool that reinforces the original transmission of the stories and allows them to continue growing, mutating, and connecting generations.

DESIGN
Just after arriving, the stage of visual research and initial sketches began. Getting to know heritage sites, museums, and obtaining facsimiles of codices such as the Beatus of Liébana became key stimuli for imagining the aesthetic of our deck. With a graphics tablet by the bed in a 25 m² temporary rental apartment, inspiration found its place to give shape to the 78 cards that today are part of the Profānus tarot.
