A3 Count Arnau poster
In a lost era, when castles dominated the valleys and the forests spoke with voices of wind, there lived in the heart of the mountains a nobleman of ardent blood and turbulent soul: Count Arnau. He was a powerful feudal lord, young, brave, and handsome, but also sovereign like the ancient titans and fierce as the wolves of winter.
Lord of castles and domains in deep Catalonia, he was cruel and proud, and in his obsession to dominate, he ended up bound by the chains he himself had forged. The Count’s heart knew neither law nor morality. Until one day, without warning, he died.
Condemned, he roams the eternal paths without ever stopping. His stride resounds like drums revealing a battle. His cloak is made of smoke, his face, of shadow. He rides an immense black horse with eyes of fire, followed by a pack of hellhounds.
The rigidity of his authority still weighs upon arcana 4 of the Tarot Profanus.

INSPIRATION AND SYMBOLISM
Bring ancestral history to your walls: the eternal rider, the shadow authority, and the dark medieval legend.
Condemned to ride forevermore through the stormy mountain nights upon a black horse of fire.
In the darkest heart of the Pyrenean valleys lived Count Arnau, a powerful, proud, and feared feudal lord. His unbridled passions, broken oaths, and defiance of all divine authority made him one of the most iconic figures in Catalan mythology. After desecrating sacred sites and betraying the promises he made, he was condemned to never find rest after death.
Transformed into the Wild Huntsman of Catalan folklore, legend tells that he rides eternally through the mist, the wind, and the mountain ridges atop a black horse with flaming eyes, followed by a pack of hellhounds.
Inspired by Arcanum IV (the archetype of the Emperor) from the Tarot Profanus collection, this striking print captures the dramatic strength, Gothic romanticism, and relentless power of Count Arnau. A facsimile reproduction of the detailed illustration, drawn entirely by hand and inspired by medieval art, this work becomes a piece of great personality capable of transforming any space.
Designed by art historian Eugenia García Domínguez and contemporary artist Leandro García Pimentel, this print has been created for lovers of medieval legends, Gothic aesthetics, tarot symbology, and Catalan cultural heritage.
