Tapestry · Horta Labyrinth

Woven memory for your walls: where ancient myth meets contemporary art.

In the Middle Ages, tapestries were much more than a simple decorative element. They were woven portals: tactile narratives that kept stories, legends, and mythologies alive within the stone walls of inhabited spaces. The Profanus · Laberint d'Horta Tapestry recovers this rich tradition and brings the medieval textile heritage into the contemporary home.

The result of extensive historical and cultural research into Catalan mythology and tarot symbolism, this piece of textile art transforms the work of Leandro García Pimentel into a large-format experience, full of texture and presence. With the mythical Labyrinth of Horta as its protagonist, it is a tribute to art, mythology, and the symbolic journey of getting lost in order to find oneself again. Hung on the wall, this tapestry transforms any room into a space of contemplation and memory.

Designed by art historian Eugenia García Domínguez and contemporary artist Leandro García Pimentel, each piece reflects a deep respect for oral tradition and the symbolic universe of Catalonia.
